The events of the game Singularity develop simultaneously in two time periods in 1950 and 2010, and there are constantly jumps from one period to another. The reason for such jumps was that on a small island, not far from Kamchatka, Soviet scientists discovered an element, codenamed E-99. He was supposed to become the energy carrier for new missiles. But the element was not stable and a catastrophe occurred during the tests. The Soviet leadership decided to classify the project and never return to it. But in 2010, an energy leak made itself felt. The Russians are silent about this, therefore, the US leadership sent a special squad to the scene of the accident, in the ranks of which the main character of the game is also listed.
